Who are we?
AG / Response of Ohio was incorporated in 1982 and is an authorized distributor of several products produced by Coast Biologicals Limited of New Zealand. Founded by Richard G. Baerman, the company has primarily concentrated on selling Response, a liquid seaweed ferilizer, to commercial agricultural growers throughout the United States. In the early 1990's, several local Rose growers, who were also exhibitors, began winning awards using Response and in 1995, the product received national acclaim and a very successful mail order business pursued. The purpose of this site is to make Response readily available to home gardeners and to introduce some new product offerings by Coast Biologicals Ltd.
Who is Coast Biologicals Ltd?
Coast Biologicals Ltd. is a New Zealand based company that specializes in a plethora of seaweed derived products. Their main center of operations is their plant in New Zealand, but they also possess holdings in Tonga and Fiji. They use these island resources as farms for growing Eucheuma Cottonii, which previously was a seaweed solely obtainable in the South China Sea. Coast Biologicals employs the different seaweeds that they harvest to make many new and exciting products, all of which are non-harmful to the environment. Most recently, Coast Biologicals has expanded their product line into natural oil extracts servicing the aromatherapy, cosmetics and health care industries. Our goal is to distribute this outsanding line of products to the multitude of people who could benefit greatly from their use.

We currently offer the company's line of foliar fertilisers, marketed under the name of Response, and a series of essential oils, specifically Manuka Oil (derived from the plant pictured to the right).
